Question: Do you have to use the slats? Can I put my adjustable base inside the frame instead?
Answer: Yes you can put your adjustable base. We just did and work really good, the only thing it take out the stops bar that the bed have for the mattress but work really good.
Question: Do I need a box spring and mattress for this bed ?
Answer: No box spring needed just mattress.. Unless you want extra high height
