Question: Is the ladder fixed in place or can it be attached when needed? I don’t want the ladder to take up floor space when the bed is not in use.
Answer: The ladder can be installed when needed, or not when not in use.

Question: What if i do not want to install the book shelves? will the bed still be sturdy? or does it need to be installed?
Answer: You would definitely need the desk. The bookshelves do connect with the bed frame above them, so they probably contribute to the sturdiness.

Question: Hi can you hook up the ladder towards the head rail or base rail side?
Answer: The ladder hooks on to the board running the length of the bed, and it can be either on the right or the left of the side trail.

Question: How deep is the desk?
Answer: The depth of the table is about 15.43″.
