Question:Is this an under counter fridge?

Answer:We do not use it as a built in, but the unit vents out of the front bottom, so to answer your question, YES, it can be used as an under counter unit. It has been a great wine cooler. Everyone commits on it because of the nice appearance, and dual side temps. I highly recommend.

Question:Does it have front ventilation?

Answer:Yes this item ventilates from the front so you may use it for built-in or freestanding applications.

Question:How much assembly is required after delivery?

Answer:I got my wife one for christmas. I only had to install 4 handle screws and plug it in. Extremely easy install. You peel back the door insulation seal and screw in the handles. Then press the insulation seal back down. That is all.

Question:how cold will the settings go?

Answer:Both sides range from 60 to 40 deg. I keep mine set at 55 red and 40 white.

Question:Are the two compartments completely separate (is there a wall between them)?

Answer:yes. there is a wall between them. independent temperature control for each side which you set in the front. can keep red wine at 48 and beer at 39
