Answer:It says “for camping” in the description, so naturally people off grid or camping might not have a faucet. I also wanted to know if I need to hook it up to a faucet to use it. So, no, it doesn’t defeat the purpose of “automatic” when the only other option is completely manual machines that use no power source.
