Question: Is the tabletop waterproof and scratch proof?
Answer: It seems to be waterproof and not leave spots, but like any table with a painted/stained wood, I’m sure it will scratch. BUT WE LOVE THE TABLE

Question: I know the white is distressed, but is the white a true white or off white?
Answer: It’s an off white. Not a bright white. Guess I would call it ivory.

Question: What is the width of the seat?
Answer: 17 3/4” at it’s widest point.

Question: Does the top of the table have grooves in it? My son does his homework on the table and any indentations make it difficult to write
Answer: There are no grooves on the top of the table. It’s a smooth surface. It is a really well-made table. I love it.
