Customer questions & answers

Question: is it strong enough to make a full bathroom
Answer: Of course!

Question: Would these be usable in the winter-average temp in low 40s- with a heater inside? Looking to use as a guest house/office.
Answer: Our recommendation for Claudia and also for its smaller sister model Chloe is to buy a small heater/cooler unit. Insulation is possible but because of the amount of glass surfaces, it is not cost effective. And the structure does not look like cabin once you start adding drywall. Place heater works fine with 40’s an even for lower temperatures. After all, it is only 209 sqf area to heat.

Question: I’m wondering about electricity. Any plug ins/lights/fans?
Answer: Your electrician would install the wiring near the outer perimeter under the structure. The wiring can be brought through flooring right under any outlet. Inside you use standard U shape wire mould. Or you can use the wire mould outside and make the cut for wires direct behind any outlet. Wire mold is very discreet and you can use it inside to bring the power for fans right next to any rafter.

Question: Is there a loft? Or can one be added?
Answer: Many customers build their own lofts with this particular model. We sell optional 1 – 2 extra layers of wall planks which makes the structure taller and creates more headroom.

Question: Is this building portable?
Answer: If assemble with portability in mind, then yes, you can make it be portable. If assembled on a trailer you would probably need a wide load permit to transport but these are easily obtainable.

Question: Is this a toy or a real cabin
Answer: It is a real cabin intended for recreational use but not a full time residence. Comes as a kit, i.e. needs to be assembled.
